-Hot water seemed to work again last night. Still seems to work. I'm hopeful it will continue to do so.
-Too many tabs, not enough time to read them all!
-Today's technology wibble was the library computers at Trinty not letting anyone log in. I had work to do. I was not impressed. So I came home, where I have proceeded to, er, not get any work done.
-Tonight I'll spend a quiet evening in, alternating tidying my entropy pit room with catching up on aforementioned tabs.
-Going to bookshops when hungry is dangerous. When will I learn?
-someone just dropped a cardboard moving box out of a 7th-floor window.
-If you have small jam jars with lids, I want them. Please. Thanks.

How small? And do the jars have to be clean?

Anything under about 200mL is great but larger is also useful to me.

Clean is nice but not essential as I'll have to wash and sterilise them anyway. Smelling strongly of vinegar/tomato sauce/whatever is not so good, though.

We have a fair few old jars we were meaning to clean up for storage purposes but haven't got round to. Most have lids. Don't know if they'd be right, but I'm sure I could look them out for you.

Will repay you in jam or jelly of your choice (from whatever varieties I make this autumn).

Oh, and lids should be metal and have those pop-up buttons so I can tell if I've got a good seal.

Was the box still moving after it hit the ground?

We might have jam jars (we could have lots and lots - dad and I go through the stuff, but the chances are most of them have been recycled :/)

Across The Pond one can buy the lids and sealers separately, insuring a good seal on the jars. However, if lids are lacking sealing integrity, a thin layer of parafin works just as well. I speak from experience with crab apple jelly.
